Clinic Klinic Membership (DPC) – FAQ

Understanding Membership (DPC)

What is Direct Primary Care (DPC)?
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a membership-based primary care model. You pay a predictable monthly fee for direct access to your primary care team and a defined set of services—without billing insurance for those membership services.

Is DPC health insurance?
No. DPC is not health insurance and does not replace insurance. It is a membership for primary care services. Many patients keep insurance for emergencies, hospital care, specialists, imaging, and prescriptions.

Who is DPC best for?
DPC is a great fit if you want:

  • faster access to a primary care provider

  • a relationship-based clinic experience

  • clearer pricing

  • affordable cash-pay options for common healthcare needs

Can I keep my insurance and still join?
Yes. Many members keep insurance (or a high-deductible plan) while using Clinic Klinic for day-to-day primary care.

Do you accept patients without insurance?
Yes. We welcome uninsured patients. Our membership and cash-pay options are designed to support patients who want affordable, consistent primary care.

What’s included in the membership fee?
Your membership includes the DPC services listed in your agreement, including primary care access and other covered services (based on your selected tier). Members also receive discounted pricing on many lab services and IV hydration.

What’s not included in membership?
Membership does not typically include:

  • hospital care, ER/urgent care not provided by our clinic

  • specialist fees

  • imaging (X-ray/CT/MRI) performed outside the clinic

  • third-party lab fees beyond your listed lab schedule

  • medications, IV supplies, or tests once they are ordered/prepared/administered (unless explicitly included)

How do your care-complexity tiers work?
Our tiers are based on the complexity of care, not age. Complexity may include factors like chronic conditions, medication management needs, frequency of follow-ups, and care coordination.

How do you determine my tier?
We use a brief intake and/or your first visit to understand your health needs. We place you in the tier that best matches the level of ongoing care you’re likely to need.

Can my tier change over time?
Yes. If your health needs change, your tier may change so your membership matches your level of care. We’ll explain any change before it takes effect.

How do I enroll?
You can enroll by completing our enrollment form and selecting your tier. If you have questions, call us, and we’ll guide you through it.

When does my membership start?
Membership start dates are typically confirmed at enrollment. If you enroll today, we can usually begin your membership right away or on the next billing cycle.

Is there a minimum commitment?
In most cases, you can cancel with proper notice as described in your agreement. We keep it straightforward and transparent.

Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, members can cancel in accordance with the termination notice requirements in the agreement.

What happens if I move?
If you move out of the area, you can terminate your membership under the agreement terms and we will handle any eligible refund as outlined below.

Visits and Care Access

How do I schedule an appointment?
Call our office or use our scheduling option (if available). We’ll offer the next available appointment based on your needs.

Do you offer same-day or next-day visits?
Often, yes—depending on volume and clinical urgency. We aim to provide faster access than typical primary care models.

What’s the difference between an annual visit and an episodic visit?

  • Annual visit: a comprehensive preventive check (review of history, preventive screening, labs if appropriate).

  • Episodic visit: focused care for a specific issue (cold/flu symptoms, UTI symptoms, rash, medication questions, etc.).

Do you offer telehealth/virtual visits?
Yes, telehealth may be available based on your clinical needs and your consent form.

Can I text or message the clinic?
We offer convenient communication options. The best method depends on the situation and your preferences.

What are your office hours?
Our current hours are listed on our website and Google Business Profile. If you need after-hours guidance, call and follow the prompts.

What if I have an urgent issue after hours?
If you have severe symptoms, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For non-emergent urgent questions, follow our after-hours instructions.

Do you treat chronic conditions?
Yes. We manage many chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, thyroid issues, and more.

Can you do referrals to specialists?
Yes. We can coordinate referrals and help you choose appropriate specialists when needed.

Can you order imaging (X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI)?
Yes. Imaging is usually performed by an outside facility and billed separately by that facility.

Labs (Member & Non-Member)

Do you offer discounted labs for members?
Yes. Members receive 40% discounted lab pricing on listed labs.

Do you offer cash-pay labs for non-members?
Yes. Non-members can access cash-pay lab pricing as listed in our lab schedule.

Are unlisted labs discounted too?
Yes. We apply 40% discounts to unlisted labs as well, according to our lab discount policy. Ask our team for a quote before testing.

Do you charge a blood draw/collection fee?
If a collection fee applies, it will be clearly disclosed before your labs are drawn.

How long does it take to get lab results?
Many routine labs return within a few days. Some specialty tests can take longer. We’ll tell you typical turnaround time when ordering.

How do I receive my lab results?
We can review results during a visit, via phone/telehealth as appropriate, or through your preferred method consistent with privacy rules.

Can I do labs without a clinic visit?
In some cases, yes—if there is an existing order or a clinically appropriate reason.

IV Hydration Discounts

Do members get discounts on IV hydration?
Yes. Members receive a discount on IV hydration services as described in our program materials.

What IV services are discounted?
Standard IV hydration offerings are eligible for member discounts unless otherwise stated.

Are any IV services not discounted?
Some specialty IV therapies or add-ons may be excluded from discounts or priced separately. We will confirm pricing before administration.

Can a non-member get IV hydration?
Yes. Non-members may receive IV hydration at standard cash-pay rates.

Do you require a visit before IV hydration?
We may require an assessment to make sure IV therapy is clinically appropriate and safe for you.

Payments, Refunds, and Billing

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept common payment methods (card and other options). Ask our front desk if you have a special request.

Can I pay monthly or prepay?
Yes. You may pay monthly, and you may also prepay—up to 12 months in advance.

How do refunds work if I cancel?
If your membership ends and you paid ahead, any unearned portion of fees will be refunded within 30 days after termination.

Are refunds prorated daily?
Yes. Refunds of prepaid membership fees are calculated on a daily prorated basis for any unused time after the termination effective date.

How long does it take to receive a refund?
Refunds are issued within 30 days after termination. We refund to the original payment method when possible.

Are labs and IV charges refundable?
Generally, no—once a lab has been collected/sent or IV supplies/medications have been ordered, prepared, opened, mixed, or administered, those costs are considered earned. If a service was paid for but not performed, we will review and refund appropriately.

Can refunds be applied to an outstanding balance?
Yes. If there is an outstanding balance for services already provided, we may apply the refund to that balance and provide an itemized statement.

Medicare / Employer / HSA Questions

Can Medicare patients join?
In many cases, yes, but Medicare rules can be specific. Please call our office so we can explain how membership works for Medicare patients in your situation.

Can employers pay for memberships?
Yes. Employers may sponsor memberships for employees. Contact us for group options.

Can I use HSA/FSA funds?
Some patients use HSA/FSA funds depending on plan rules. We can provide receipts; we recommend confirming eligibility with your plan administrator.
